Terms & Conditions (Summary)
Payments
A deposit is required before quilting begins, with the remaining balance due prior to collection or return postage. All quilts must be paid for in full before they are released.
All pricing provided prior to receiving and measuring your quilt is an estimate only. Final pricing is confirmed once your quilt has been measured.
Shipping
Completed quilts are returned via Australia Post, with return postage charged at cost based on your location.
Local pick-up and delivery are available in Mudgee and Gulgong only.
If you decide not to proceed after sending your quilt, return postage and a handling fee will apply. If quilting has already commenced, full charges apply.
Quilt Preparation
To ensure the best possible result:
-
Quilts must be prepared according to the Quilt Preparation Checklist.
- Additional preparation or repair work may incur a small fee, discussed beforehand.
- Directional tops or backings must be clearly labelled.
-
Appliqué, embellishments and raised elements must be securely stitched down.
-
Loose threads should be trimmed prior to submission.
- If significant issues are identified (excess fullness, loose seams, inadequate backing size), I will contact you to discuss options before proceeding.
We cannot guarantee perfect centering due to the nature of longarm quilting.
Quilting Service
Longarm quilting is performed on customer-supplied materials.
- While every care is taken, final results may be influenced by fabric quality, piecing accuracy and preparation.
- While every effort is made to achieve the best possible finish, minor puckering or fullness may occur depending on quilt construction.
- I reserve the right to make small adjustments (such as squaring) to improve the overall result.
If you have any concerns about your finished quilt, please contact us promptly so we can discuss a solution.
Turnaround Time
- Estimated turnaround times will be advised at booking.
- Busy periods may extend completion times slightly — I will always communicate clearly.
Mechanical Damage
Longarm quilting is a mechanical process. While every care is taken, rare mechanical issues may occur, such as needle breakage or minor marks on fabric, particularly at bulky seams, appliqué, 3D elements, or folds.
In the unlikely event that mechanical damage occurs:
-
You will be contacted immediately.
-
We will discuss a resolution to ensure your quilt is completed to your satisfaction.
By submitting your quilt, you acknowledge that these rare mechanical risks are inherent to the longarm quilting process.
Pattern & Thread Selection
If specific thread, batting or pattern choices are not provided in writing, Thread Tale Quilting may select suitable options at its discretion.
Photography
Quilts may be photographed for promotional purposes unless you advise otherwise prior to quilting.
